Macro Bio Joy is essentially, "big life joy" -- a philosophy on living life to your fullest potential! 

Mental Health

Sarah’s scope of practice in counseling includes anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, personality disorders, life transitions, and LGBTQ+ issues

Diet

While medications are useful and sometimes necessary to treat mental health disorders, there are changes to diet and lifestyle that directly impact our well-being.  

Physical Health

Physical health can have a big impact on mental health.  In eastern philosophy, everything is connected to everything else.  When you heal physically, you heal mentally as well.  

Lifestyle

Family, friends, pets, community, good sleep hygiene, a healthy diet, regular exercise, and participating in meaningful activities such as spirituality, volunteering, or a favorite hobby all contribute to a life in balance.

Meet Sarah Kelly

"Sarah Kelly is a holistic licensed mental health counselor, with a 20+ year background in studying lifestyle, diet, and its effects on the body, mind, & spirit."

Sarah is trained in mindfulness-based, somatic therapies such as Hakomi Therapy and Phoenix Rising Therapeutic Yoga therapy, as well as certified in western clinical modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT-C) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Beyond Sarah’s private practice, she has a long career in higher education, including college admissions, advising, and adjunct faculty in a Holistic Counseling graduate program.

Counseling

Therapy can change lives. Counseling provides unconditional acceptance, thoughtful feedback, and non-judgmental witnessing in a safe, contained space. We engage in the process of therapy to increase self-awareness, and empower you to live a more authentic and fulfilling life. You will be supported as you examine old beliefs and habits that may no longer serve you, discern what barriers are in the way of living the life you want, and practice accessing your own inner wisdom. Each session is created by keeping your individual needs, situation, history, and readiness in mind.  In mindfulness-based somatic therapy, it's believed direct experience is our best authority. When we have direct experience to a new way of being, it propels change and facilitates healing.
